The types of modern clothing materials are very rich. With the improvement of people's living standard, the requirement for clothing is also getting higher and higher, so the innovative application of clothing material is particularly important. This article first elaborated the relationship between clothing material and clothing design, and then analyzed the development present situation of clothing material, and then discussed the innovative application of clothing material, mainly from three aspects: the reconstruction design of clothing material, the combination application of different materials and the application of high-tech materials, and analyzed the significance of the innovative application of clothing material.
